About
Katie Roussos is a freelance copywriter, editor, translator, and the coauthor and designer of three rock climbing guidebooks: Greece Sport Climbing: The Best Of (2017), Kalymnos Climbing Guidebook (2019), and Leonidio & Kyparissi Climbing Guidebook (2020). She has more than a decade of experience working on all phases of book production, writing clear and effective copy in two languages (English and Greek), and creating content for an international audience. Katie also provides copyediting, translation, and narration services in both languages.
Born in Chicago and raised bilingually between two continents, language and storytelling have always held center stage in Katie’s life—not just as a form of expression, but as a way to reach across cultures. Words and communication are at the heart of everything she does.

Katie has an active role in all phases of production of a series of English-language rock climbing guidebooks. She is the designer and coauthor of three editions (2020, 2019, 2017), and the translator, copyeditor, and proofreader of previous editions (2010, 2014, 2015). The Kalymnos, Greece, and Leonidio & Kyparissi guidebooks are sold in many parts of the world and are used by a global community of climbers.
Copywriting, copyediting, and translation

Katie creates all content for the websites climbkalymnos.com and climbgreece.com. She also collaborates with design firms to create brand identity and advertising copy, publishers to translate hiking and travel copy from Greek to English or to copyedit and proof cookbooks, and individuals to translate, proofread, and polish the written word.
Voiceover and narration
2014-present
Because her interests go beyond the written word, Katie is the bilingual narrator behind multiple digital guides and explainer videos used at museums and other educational settings including the Acropolis Museum, the Athens University History Museum, and the Environment Museum of Stymfalia.
